 The first burning
City on fire, thyra hilden, pio diaz<br />From December 17th, 2005 until the end of 2006 the two artists Thyra Hilden and Pio Diaz burn the city of Rome. <br /><br />The burnings begin on December 17th with the opening of an exhibition at the restaurant Supperclub and extend into the burning of the Danish Cultural Institute located in the eternal City. That will take place on December 29th, 2005. <br /><br />The burning of the Danish Cultural Institute is part of the endeavour to develop COF and prepare for the burning of the Colosseo. <br /><br />The symbolic burnings are the artists“ contribution to the debate about the roots of the Western culture
